:D Hey everybody.I am new,but have been reading this forum for awhile. I just bought a brand new nef .357 rifle. It has a the brown laminated stock with the nef medallion in the buttstock. it has the straight grip buttstock. I have read of many people on this forum wanting these rifles. The place i bought mine was franklins of Athens , Georgia. They have three others out on the display racks and five more in the back in the boxes.Just thought everyone would like to know.I topped mine with burris zee rings holding a 3-9 x 40 burris fullfield 2. I also have a h&r ultra varmint in .223, H@R topper model 158 in 22 hornet(very hard on a squirell),nef sporster .22,nef 12gauge shotgun(ouch my shoulder when shooting 3 inch shells),A stainless Rossi .22 mag(The metal work on mine is finished quite nicely, but they painted the buttstock, which is wood black???,so i refinished the stock and it looks great),a Thompson center contender carbine in .22lr match with a boyd's laminated stockset on it,and many other firearms. As you can see I have this thing for single shots.                                                                                                                                                                                                               Hope this info helps somebody.

Well...Welcome and thats the way to start out on your first post!! I'm sure someone on here will be glad to know where to locate one of the 357's....they sound pretty nice with the medallion in the stocks and all.   What kind of price did they have on them???

Thats the place, I worked there in the early 90's and lived in the are for 30 years, Franklins was an every weekend stop for the better part of 10 years. I have a friend who still works there in the evenings, but I don't know what nights. Mark, the owner has always worked with folks and made good deals. Good Luck, JP
