My current scope has 3 inches of eye relief and I would like a scope with at least3.5 inches of eye relief. I have looked at many scopes, but I still don't know what to buy. I have around $250 to spend and 300 at max, so What do you guys recomend?

Oh and I want something in 3-9 as it will be used mainly for hunting.

If eye relief is your main concern buy a Leupold. That's the feature they maximize. All optics are compromises and each maker has to decide which feature to key on. Leupold keys on long eye relief. Any of their 3-9s should serve you well. As you go up in price you go up in features.

If eye relief is your main concern, I'd consider going to a 1X red-dot.....Now, hear me out. With a Red-Dot scope, you don't get any magnification, but you have zero problems finding a clear picture...heck, you can leave both eyes open to follow-through and even see the shot hit!
Try one...you'll really like the quick sight picture!

Zeiss 3-9x40 Conquest has constant 4 inches of eye relief. For a scope under $400 it's not a bad deal. I have this on my 375H&H and I have not "gotten together" with it yet!

Leupold!!! Eye relief is only the beginning of what you will like from the Leupold products.
