I think this was asked before, but does anyone know actual weights of a 30-06 synthetic Handi?

Thanks.  I can't see the '06 weighing more than a pound more due to maybe more metal left in the barrel.

Handi,

If you figure 12 ounces for the scopes I have, three of my Handi's weigh at least 7 pounds on a scale that's far more accurate than a bathroom scale.  My .45/70 weighed 7 lbs 11.9 ounces with a 4X  40mm Tasco scope and wood stocks.  My .357 weighed 8 lbs 2.9 ounces with synthethic and 3-9X 40mm scope.

Mine is about 8 lbs. with a Simmons 3 x 10 44Mag scope and a lightweight sling. It will be with me tomorrow a.m. for opening day gun season.

handirifle,

Got my first deer with the 30-06 this morning. Just a "cowhorn" and about 130 lbs. About 90 yds. with plain old Winchester 150 grain power points. Right through the heart with big holes in and out. Ran about 40 yds. right toward my stand. Good luck on the trip.
