Is there a way to remove scuff marks? They are not dents or scratches but rub marks that show lighter than the rest of the stock.

You might try some shoepolish in a color close to that of the stock. Just rub it in and buff it out. Also, perhaps a can of Pledge furniture polish just might work.

lilabner - I use the Birchwood Casey super gun black to touch up the scratches on my synthetic stocks works great and is permanent when it dries. It comes in a pen like dispenser that's easy to use. CEJ...
