Deadeye,

I don't know much about the Dallas area, even though my baby girl and her husband live in Garland.  I get a pretty good bit of my powder from Bass Pro in Shreveport.  Here's the info for Bass Pro in the Dallas area.

Grapevine, Texas (Dallas/Ft. Worth)
Bass Pro Shops
Outdoor World
2501 Bass Pro Drive
Grapevine, TX 76051
Phone: 972-724-2018
http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.CFPage?appID=94&storeID=18

They don't have powder listed online, so it might be a good idea to call first.

I believe the Varget is either $18 or $21 a pound.  Bought some about a month ago, but don't remember the price.  Also, if you have a hunting annual from last year, there is a 20% discount, good for one item, in the book.  Will knock of a couple of dollars at least.

Deadeye,

I got my Varget in Shreveport and I never pay $20 for anything.

They also have some 4# cans of 700X and some of the Alliant Dot powders.
