BEC scopes?
« on: October 09, 2004, 01:06:28 PM »
Does any one own or have any info on these scopes?

I know Cabelas sell them but are they reliable?

Chinese I think

Since I've seen some Chinese air guns with the BEC trade mark, I assume the scopes are made there too.

I've wondered too - I saw a large AO variable on a tricked out 10/22 at the range once but  have never seen anything about them anywhere.

BEC scopes?

My Uncle bought one that came with the proper mount for his Mini-14.  First off the mount didnt even work right.  Second, Im shooting it one day and the scope was getting more blurry with every shot.  I gave up and let my Uncle fiddle with it.  He shot it too and said the same thing was happening.  As he lifts the gun up off the rest to see whats going on the front lens falls out and off.  Apparently it was turning sideways as we shot it.  A mini-14 and it had only been on for a few hundred shots.....absolute junk.

Well I've had mine on my .223 for about 1 week now,
I've been shooting it everyday.
It seems to be doing just fine.
I see no reason to change it yet.
Did the one your uncle had have a parralax adjustment?
mine does that might make a diffrence as far as
the blurring goes. The way I'm looking at itis if it
ain't broke don't fix it. Besides it was givin to me any
way. Not because the guy did'nt like it just because
I needed a desent powered scope.
But thank you for your experiance.....Honestly
