CVA Eclipse Hunter
« on: October 09, 2004, 04:04:41 PM »
Hi Guys!
I was given a CVA Eclipse Hunter in 54 cal. Do any of you folks have experience with a firearm like this? It shoots real good. Was just converted to 209. Thanks   Tim

BO: I never new they made the eclipse in a 54 cal,I own a 50 cal eclipse and it is a tack driver. My only dis-like is the plastic stock, never could get use to it the gun just sit in the safe.
I would read there manual as far poewder loads ,seem a guy on anither forum just blew up a eclipse using 100 grains of triple 777 powder.
I found that my eclipse would favor pyrodex select powder and precision sabot QT'S 40 in 235 grain good luck with the gun

Almost forgot to mention I was going to tell you cva early inlines have a recall on them I would check with them if your gun is one of them.
They will replace the gun free of charge :D  :D
