.22 shorts, CB caps, BB caps in a Contender?
« on: October 10, 2004, 01:07:13 PM »
I have a 21" Contender carbine with a .22LR match chamber barrel. Is there any reason I couldn't shoot CB caps, BB caps, or .22 shorts with that barrel?   Would appreciate any advice.  Thanks!

Not sure if the match chamber would make a difference or not? I know it does not bother my rifles with standard chambers any. If it was me I would call TC and ask them what they reccomend then you would know for sure. With the price of barrels I would hate to screw one up. Personally I think it would be ok but it would be best to contact them. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Wont hurt a thing. I have shot CB's and Shorts in mine with no problems. Just be sure to clean the chamber good before shooting any thing longer. Accuracy really stunk with the CB,s. Shorts were better but still not very good. I have found a couple of sub-sonics that shoot pretty good though.  KN
