check out straightshooters.com they just started selling them to their air gun clientele. I think they posted a review or at least some sales info.

I think the Nikkos are from Australia or something. Possibly Asian made for Australian market.  Or try a search in Google

They are mostly made in Japan for an Australian company.  I wouldn't get any but the Diamond models.  Else, you might as well buy Tasco.

I checked out those scopes on Straightshooters.com.  Cost up to $107-
$700 and not rated for med. to heavy springers.  My $50 Sportview airgun scope has been mounted on my BSA Supersport for 4 years without a problem.

These scopes are VERY common here in New Zealand -

Diamond - Made in Japan, pretty good for the money  I would buy one any day after using a 6x42 with some success.

Gold crown - Cheaper Chinese made, found on many package deals for centrefire rifles, have a good reputation for a cheaper scope - probably a better buy than a Chinese made cheaper model Tasco. I have had a few older 4x32 and all have been pretty good - no problems at all.

Silver crown - Chinese made very cheap ok for .22 - steer clear.

A Gold Crown like you mention would be a fine choice for a .22.
