Hey guys! Shot the 45-70 today with the federal 300 grain bullets. I got about a 2.5" group at 50 yds with the open sights. Recoil was not bad at all very similar to shooting 100 grs. tiple 7 powder in the encore with a 300 gr bullet. I used a black synthetic stock as was quite surprised at how mild the recoil was.
