hey question for all you out there? Has anyone bought a cannon from grey-star technology? And what is the largest bore that is safe to shoot a lead ball, I've heard that once you reach a certain size lead cannot be used

Be sure and order your cannon from gray star with a seamless liner.
There are those who will tell you that there is no concern about the strength of seamed liners. They are right. Seamed liners are plenty strong. Strength is not the concern.
The problem is long term with the weld. If micro pores or occlusions are present in the weld over a period of time those micropores or occlusion are going to rot out. It could be in one year in humid climates or 10 year or 40 years. It can and does happen.
The More complete cannoner discusses the lead ball issue.
In fact the More Complete cannoneer talks about both of these issues with a greater authority and knowledge than I have.
