Sorry, a couple of questions

I was just thinking :roll:  I know that is dangerous at 51, but here goes:
1. Is it a not so good idea after I clean the tracker to use the woderlube 1000 to keep it from rusting?
2. How about all my guns? I mean since it is that good, or should I use gun oil like hoppes. that is petro based. Or are the metal in modern guns  quite a bit different ?Just wondering. :roll:

Wonderlube 1000 is great stuff and I use in on the wood and all metal surfaces of my guns....<><.... :grin:

I first started using Wonderlube on centerfire rifles last year during an elk hunt.

It rained all day long, and when we got back to camp, I took my rifle apart to clean it.  I had some break free, but I noticed that part of the ammo can that I keep my cleaning supplies had some WL on it, and it was shedding water like a ducks back.

I dried the entire rifle, then wiped it down with WL.  It rained or snowed that entire week, and I never had any rust spots on my Winchester.  I've used it ever since.  Smells a lot better than Break Free, plus it's not as destructive to wood surfaces.

I'm curious also about wonderlube.  Whats the dif. between it and bore butter.  When do you use each and would it be good to use on wood stocks?  I too don't understand why some think that centerfire and muzzleloader guns require different cleaning products. Thanks for your input
