Got my new remington model 7 back today ,had a smith put lim saver on it to make lop fit me .My model 7 is 7mm-08 lamiated stock and 3x9 nikon pro staff scope ,blue steel.Any thought;s on this setup?

Although I haven't shot any Model 7's, but have shot and tuned the triggers on a good number of Model 700's, I was recently considering a model 7 for myself, and recommended one to a friend as a gift for his nephew.

On the firing line I once saw a Model 7 with the new 20" barrel that I could almost covet! It was one of the sweetest set ups going, and it was light enough to be a mountain rifle for someone inclined to such pursuits.

I'd think you bought a very good rifle in a very good caliber. Hey, I even priced a Nikon Pro-Staff recently from www.riflescopes.com.

No matter what some others might say about Remington -- I love 'em!

Sounds like you have a nice deer rig there. The Model 7 is a handy sized rifle and the 7mm08 is perfectly suited to the task of hunting deer. What load are you using?

I live just a ways east of you, near Chattanooga. I often hunt in Franklin County.
