.257 Sierra HPBT: What's the Verdict?

Am patiently awaiting .250 improved Bullberry bbl., hope to get it in and hastlily dial in a load for November deer season. Sierra manual has RL15 hands down their favorite powder, I also have varget, h4350, 4895.

Does anyone have experience with the Sierra 90 gr HPBT, supposed to be an accurate hard hitting round on deer. It supposedly is not like a conventional HP that blows up. I also have their 117 gr prohunter but wish to stay lighter if possible for .250 AI.

Yeah, I bought a box and tried them in my .250 Savage, .257 Roberts, .25-06 and even my .257 Weatherby.  Accuracy was good but on deer a failure due to them not opening up like they should out of the .250 and .257 Roberts.  Out of my .25-06 and .257 Weatherby they didn’t hold up and also the accuracy was as good as the other two caliber’s.  Got my best results using them out of my .25 Rem. bolt action.  Just a heavy varmint bullet as far as I am concerned.  Lawdog

The 100 grain Ballistic tip works really well in the 250. I have used them for years without any kind of a failure.
