I purchased this light and contacted Browning about it (coincedentally the Xenon bulb burnt out in the light)...my light wasn't defective...the recall was for the batteries. If the batteries are NOT Panasonic batteries, the batteries could explode and rupture inside the light hence causing serious injury. Visit the Browning website @
