I have an older contender with a 22 hornet and 357 barrel. I bought them used and they work great. I believe I checked once and the frame is from the early 80's. My question is could I shoot a 44 mag barrel without damaging my frame. I can get a 44 barrel that will fit but I thought I read once where the older frames could stretch under heavy 44 use. Any input from the tc fans would be appreciated . Thanks guys :-)

I do not believe you will have any problems... T/C made barrels for contender with more heat than 44 mag. I have heard of stretching with some "custom" calibers, but not with any T/C factory barrel.
Enjoy it!!
