Local gun shop has one for 199.00.
Is this a deal?
Aready have a Colt Walker repro.Thought this one would make a fun shooter too.

Depends on who made it and its condition. But generally speaking, for a
Uberti or a Pietta in good shape, that's not a bad price. As my dear departed Grandma used to say, " You can't have too many Walkers."

Could not stand it anymore bought the dragoon Walker.
It is made by EMF third model.Has a double leaf rear sight doved into the barrel.
Got to go burn some powder and see how this thing shoots.

The rear sight mod is a fairly common one and once you are used to it can provide exellent accuracy. The Walker is in a class by itself in terms of flexibility of use. I have three myself, and don't regret buying any of them. A fist full of Walker Colt is a comfort on a cold dark night in an unfamiliar wood. Only a twelve bore bouble might offer a little more security ---maybe.
