« on: October 20, 2004, 11:24:25 AM »
Finally found some at the local Walmart!  [ Thanks to The Montanan.  Sorry if i was an a?@ the other day]
Anybody actaully use these on derr or yotes to see how they expand.  Would they be ok on a youth hunt for deer out to about 25 yds. ?
thanks to ALL

These 45 grn JHP bullets are for varmints.  They are highly explosive, don't think this would be the bullet to use on anything larger than yotes. Just my .02.

There is better factory ammo available to use on deer with out resorting to using varmint or match ammo on them...will they kill a deer ...probably....but I wouldn't use them for that...and most others wouldn't either.....

Jeff don't worry about it... no offense taken  :D
I wouldn't use these on deer but for Pairie Dogs the results speak for themselves.  40-gr VMAX does this as well.  What a friend of mine uses for deer is a 55-gr Nosler Balistic Tip.  He said that when cutting open the deer it looks like someone just used a knife on the heart lung and cut it to shreds.

nipprdog I got two other DVD's since and found them to be more educational.  Varmint Safari http://www.rmvh.com/ is just great, and my newest Coyote Behavior  http://www.rhinocalls.com/CoyoteBehavior.html

These were well worth the money spent, and are better teaching aids to the beginner with Varmint and Preditor hunting.  Pairie Dog Be Gone is just down right funny.  :-D
