Encore barrels getting scarce
« on: January 23, 2003, 03:20:55 PM »
Don't know if there is a production problem at TC or whether some mail order supplier are just waiting for the right season, but if you check most of the mail order suppliers, they are OUT OF STOCK on most encore barrels.

There were plenty before christmas.

This is a letter from EABCO that I received today. They just may have what you are looking for. For what it is worth they are great company to deal with.

I ordered a custom barrel from EABCO about a week ago-
Apparently the shortage is in standard barrels-
They said my custom comming for Fox Ridge should be there in 8-12 weeks-
I did hear from a dealer near me that TC was changing manufacturing location so this was causing a shortage in standard barrels as well-
Aslo heard the big gun show comming up could cause delivery problems-
Again none of this is from TC just what people have said

I have a .270 26" bull barrel on order through my local gun shop from Fox.  Gun shop was told 12 weeks minimum.  Owner told Fox it was for a really good customer and the customer would like to have it ASAP.  "They" (Fox) said "so does everybody else"!  LOL  Well as long as it is A1 when I get it, I really do not care about the wait.
