Good Grief!!
At this price, how come we (I) haven't heard more about these pieces?
How do they perform? I watched a guy next to me at a Dallas indoor range this weekend use a Kimber .45. I ran out of time to get to that or a similar model to try out (I was "shopping" aka "try before I buy"). I was impressed with what he was able to do with it and the hole it left. But, when I checked it out in the shop on my way out, the style of safety and
the price had me a little more than cautious.
This RIA 1911 appears to have a similar center pivot safety from the pix. Am I seeing it clearly? If so, is this the similar "hammer back" safety style of the Kimber?
For such a price, I could sell the Beretta and get 2 of these (one for each hip) and have money left over
Seriously, not knowing much about them but what I've read here, are they reliable and durable...enough, even, to pack into the woods?
Looking at the frame design, CTC should make a laser grip sight for them correct?
Would appreciate hearing about your experiences from you folks that have had them for a while.
Thanks in advance.
