They're long obsolete and there is no replacement.

You must have one of the older slow twist 99s. 'Bout all you can do is to start working your way through the 87 grain spitzers. They are about the same length and they are the bullet for which that twist was intended.
It is the duty of the good citizen to love his country and hate his gubmint.

Try the 100 gr. Speer bullet, it's the shortest 100 grain bullet out there, and stabilized well in my older 99. It works well over 33.0 gr. of H4895. Try it, I think you'll like it!

Thanks gentlemen. I have shot 87 grn bullets out of the rifle and they grouped well, but I always thought they may be to light for deer. Any recommendations for tough 87 grn bullets would be helpful. Thanks for the tip on the 100 grn speer, I'll give that a try.

Thanks

Jerry

Loads for .250 Savage

This won't make your life any better. I live in Bend, Oregon, where Nosler has his factory, where we can buy seconds at decent prices. At one time I had a 99 Savage in .250 and which had a 14 inch barrel twist. Nosler made a stubby 100 grain blunt nosed Partition bullet that worked like a charm in that little gun.

It was my wife's gun and she got several mule deer with it. She finally quit hunting and we sold the gun. Big mistake, don't EVER sell a gun.
