Contender Question
« on: January 24, 2003, 12:55:19 PM »
I have a chance to buy an old style contender with a .44 mag barrel attached. It is in great shape. I believe has a 10" barrel. What barrel limitations will I have with this contender compared to the newer style. Are they all interchangeable? What other drawbacks are there? The gun shop wants $275 for this setup. Is this a good price or not?

Please clue me in.
Thanks

I looked at a older contender with a 10 inch 41 barrel last week. Price was $250.

That's not a bad price. The barrels between the contenders and the encores are not interchangable, but there are plenty of them out there and you can also get barrels from the custom shops as well.
