I have an odds 'n ends assortment of jacketed bullets of various calibers just going to waste sitting on the shelves. Not enough of any one type to bother to try to do anything with them.
I cast roundballs for my muzzleloaders.
If I toss all of the old jacketed bullets in the melting pot and float out the jackets, is the lead contained in the jacketed bullets good for roundball?
Or, is there some alloys or something in the jacketed bullet lead that would make it unsuitable for roundball use?
