If you don't already know, the issue of bear baiting is going to be settled on Tuesday.  

Along with that issue are two others that you might want to read.

Proposition 1 deals with an important topic on how referendums can be voted on.  It just might help us in issues such the baiting issue if it ever appears again.

Proposition 3 deals with the legalization of marijuana.   Sorry guys but as a teacher I have seen too many young life ruined even before they have really started.

Dave I agree with what you say, but I disagree with the way the Feds hit and miss handling of it.  I'm going to vote yes in hopes the legislator will then create STATE laws governing the sale, distribution, growing, possession, and use.  Right now people that have a need for it (for medical use to off set the affects of chemo) have to brake the law to get it, even thou the doctor has prescribed it.  Especially since it is so easy to get under the current laws.

But don't the Fed. laws still all apply?  It might be legal in the state but not fed. law. Most kids don't know that police have to follow both sets of laws and they are accountable for both.

Sourdough & Dave, is the law still the same that you can grow for your personnal use, but you cant grow it outside? Reason I ask, when I lived in soldotna (78-80) you could  grow as long as you dint get carried away. One case of abuse (and I thought it was funny)  a guy got busted outside of Anchorage, he had a crop that was an ACRE, judge wanted to know just how big a family he had.
