RWS 54
« on: October 29, 2004, 05:30:48 AM »
I have used  but new looking RWS M-54 in .177. I was pleasantly surprised how very 'recoiless' it actually is.
The rifle came with a nice fixed Simmon Pro Air 4X and good mounts.
Never owned a 54 and didn't know what kind of accuracy to expect.
At 25 yards I get 0.5" with several good brand of pellets, all of them heavy, 9 and 10 grain.
Is 0.5" good 'nuff for this rifle with 4X scope?
It will stop a tree rat real quick with head or solid chest shots.
Comments on the M-54.
By the way I paid under $350 for the package inc. shipping.
Fair 'nuff price?

jeager106,

A 0.5" groups at 25 yards with a 4X scope?  You couldn't ask for anything better.  And the power of the RWS 54 really needs the heavier weight pellets.  Good Luck and Good Hunting/Shooting.  Lawdog
