Howdy!

I just bought a .44 mag H&R.  I sold a M94 lever action in .44 a few months ago and have been greiving my loss.  I hope the handi rifle will help ease my pain.  I own an Encore and enjoy its flexibility on switch barrels, custom barrels, etc. so maybe I can get a couple of extra barrels for this new purchase over time.

How is it that I see some non-factory calibers shown on this forum such as a 7X64?  Are there sources of custom barrels for the Handi rifles?
Anyway - I hope to pop a deer with this little baby sometime this season.

Welcome aboard..

Some of the different calibers like the 7 X 64 Brenekee...the 444... and the 35 Whelen were once offered as standard issue calibers...but in NEF's infinite wisdom...they have elected to stop producing  them...and a few other calibers as well...if you locate one say a 444...7x64...35 Whelen and a few others...you best grab it...cause they won't last long...as a few have found out...as to the custom barrels...one or 2 folks are doing a work around to achive that...but nothing much has beeen proven so-far...they aren't like a Contender...but you can send them in and have a different barrels fitted at the factory...you can look on NEF's web site under barrel accesory program......they also have differnt stocks and such for you to buy if your in the market...

:D , Welcome aboard Reynolds...Spend some time here at your own peril, it is fun and addictive...and by the way if you find a 7x64, 7x57, or 30-30 barrel or gun you don't want, please let me know. Or if you really want to be accepted by the group here, buy it and send it to me. If you do I promise to put in a good word for you with the other guys (Handiholics all!!!). Come often and stay late, bring your friends and hunting buddies and have fun!!!....<><....
