I shot my Remington rolling block 43 spanish today for the first time. Two of my sons and myself cast 370 Gr. bullets of wheel weights using a lyman mould (no#439186). We first tried 38 grs. Varget but had 2 hang fires out of ten leaving one bullet about 4" into the bore. We next tried the same load using magnum primers with no problems at all and shot pretty accurate. About 3 1/2" at one hundred yards. AV 1256
Next we tried 23 grs. AA 5744. My oldest son shot a 6 shot group that measured 2 1/2" wide and 1 5/8" high. AV was 1155 fps hitting about 16" high at 100 yds. looks like we got another shooter. Wish my 51 yr old eyes could see the military sights.
