Question on Bloddy Hides
« on: October 30, 2004, 04:16:09 PM »
I was just wondering if you get a raccoon and you had no other way to dispatch him than with a .22 rifle and you got the hide a little bloody around the head or if it pooled under them how would you get this blood out of the hide would you just use water or would you use soapy water?? lol maybe even shampoo  :) lol just curious cause some of my hides get a little bloody and i think my profit could go up if i cleaned them up a bit

Thanks guys
Adam

Use cold water and either dish detergent or  clothes detergent.  WHen just the head is bloody just dip that into solutions and clean and  rinse in cold water and then  use old  rags or paper towels to  dry head of fur ect.  . Dry  with fan  and  proceed with stretcher or selling green.

Almost a bit cool down here in Texas,  can't wait to get out on the line and pinch a few toes.   I was wondering...  what is that vocalize thing at the top?   I turned my speakers on thinking I might hear something but I don't hear nuthin?

I started settin for yotes on Oct. 15 .  I got only two . Got 6 skunks , one griner , and one big coon ( 24 lbs ) . My real season ( water season ) starts Mon . Will be out in full force  since I have the week off .

Good luck when you get goin and remember , its not how many traps you have or how many sets you have out , it where they're placed . :D

Goofball Kerry has the money to buy thousands of traps and he still  couldn't catch his own finger .
