Our convention would have been a little more than 300 mi for you. Much too far for a 14 year old to walk! :)  Maybe sometime you can. I trap pretty much all legal furbearers here. My favorite is Bobcat.

i found it . why does every thing have to be so #@*% hard. but my warden must be dumb last winter i had made a trile on coons and was tryin to carry em back to the car and the saw me and  stopped amd helped me cary em back to the car. so i gues im gona keep trapin em couse thats what 90 percent of my traps are for. i hate NC trappin laws. what do you think i should do.

NCTA have busted their asses to get an otter and coon season in the west. There is a fair chance you may get otter next year. Coons? No telling. Coon hunters have been stronger than us, politically.

Join your state association, go to Wildlife Commission public hearings.
Do what ever part you can. It is a political thing. Some think it will not happen soon (coons).
Have you not lived there long?

Smack dab in the center of the state. It's colder today and I hope it keeps going that way! Maybe it'll be a nasty winter like last one and I'll get more time off for trapping.

ya i would like a good winter get out of school for trappin. since i cant trap coons ill be focusin on mink and bobcat. i emaild the nc game comison and they sayd we could trap em becaus in the 80s they sayd there was a shortige and i told em we had plenty now and they ought to let us.
