Leupold VX-III 8.5-25x50mm Long Range Target

Have already posted in Silhouette forum asking for feedback on the Leupold VX-III 8.5-25x50mm Long Range Target. Could not find anyone who used it there, however Chunter said he used his Leupold VX-III 6.5-20x50mm LR in Metallic Silhouette. I am particularly interested to know if the 8.5-25x50mm focusses down to 40 metres.

The 2003 catalog from Leupold shows that the 8.5 -25x50mm Long Range will focus down to 50 yards. But, the M-1 version of that scope only focuses down to 75 yards.
