Problem
« on: November 02, 2004, 06:47:35 AM »
I just got a used 44 mag. barrel it looks great, there nothing wrong with the barrel itself (i think) but when i go to put the barrel of the receiver and reattach the forearm and close the action it will not latch fully.

I tried the barrel on both rifles i have and it is the result on either. Is there anything i can do to correct this problem. Don't be afraid to chime in on this one i need all the help i can get.

varminter, I personally cannot help you but MSPRet is quite experienced in fitting barrels to receivers, from what I've seen posted here.

Best of luck getting that 44 fitted to your gun. Singleshotshooter has a post about his 44 project, perhaps he has more info that can be of help as well.
