whats the most accurate .22 pistol for shootin turkey shoots. range is 25 feet, free hand, scopes allowed. im really getting into the shoots and would like to get some opions on what pistol setups for this kind range shooting? :wink: thanks in advance for opions

I would look for a Buckmark, a 5.5 field or target. If you like a longer barrel a used varmint or shilouette. They all have a full weaver type mount for optics & open sights, except for the varmint.

Ditto...for turkey shoots approx $450 will get you a NIB Ruger MkII, slab-sided Govt model outfitted with a decent red dot. Really depends on how much you want to spend and what fits you best.

I shoot a old original model Ruger Std Auto, but if I were to choose a cost is no object pistol for that match it would be a Thompson Contender. If the T/C wasn't allowed I would stay with the Ruger.

ok guys i shot a ruger salbside with leupold 2*7 scpe but is very hard to hold steady even on low power...any more suggestions?

At that range, put a red dot on your Ruger.
