Hide stretcher

When you hang a stretcher with a hide on it do you hang with the animail hide nose pointed up or down?  Does it matter?

I usually hang my stretchers,nose up.
 If you are using wire stretchers,a fresh pelt hung upside down,may cause the hooks to loosen up.This would cause problems.
 Once a pelt hase dried for a bit,it doesnt matter which way you hang them.
