How's the rut looking?

I've been out of commission so far this season due to a separated shoulder. I have gotten it back to the point that I can comfortably pull my bow, so I'm hoping to get in a couple hunts before gun season starts in MI on November 15.

So how is the rut looking so far?

I'm especially interested in how its looking in SE MI.

Bucks are just starting to show up regular & have seen a couple small chasing the last few days but Does want nothing to do with them.  Anytime now the bigger ones should start showing themselves.  NE Iowa right on the Illinois border.

The does have been receptive to the bucks the last couple days.  I'm in the wee little state of Maryland.
