redfield tracker 4x16x44 a/o

hey
anyone know anything about these tracker scopes  i found one for a super price    brand new in box with warranty  but something threw me off about it
i always thought redfields were japanese optics this one says it made in phillipines  maybe they are since the simmons and weaver lines have some  models that are made there also and they are all three owned by the same company
anyone have anything bad to say about the trackers?? are they a good choice for a .270 or .22 cal varmint rig??

I'd like to know about the new Redfields as I had a few illuminators many years ago, and really liked them.
