Tasco Pro Class Scope
« on: November 06, 2004, 07:39:05 AM »
I saw in the 375jdj thread about using Tasco Pro Class handgun scopes and how they held up well to the recoil.  Are these that good of a scope?  Where can you buy them?

Thanks

I don't know if they are still available.  I have a 4 power with adjustable objective and a 30 mm tube that is bright and clear, but made for someone with longer arms than mine.  I can't get it far enough away for a good sight picture.  If I set it on the bench and move back a little further it is pretty good.  Just not for me and shooting.

Mine is old enough to be a Japanese product, not Chinese like the current models are.  I expect the Pro class disappeared with the change of ownership.

I had a Tasco Pro Class in 2x on a 10" 44 mag barrel. The scope was one it when I bought it used, but it didn't hold up to the recoil on the 44 mag at all. All kinds of "junk" floating around on the interior lenses. Got rid of it and went with a 2x Leupold.
