What youth bow
« on: November 06, 2004, 12:32:27 PM »
Any suggestions for a low cost youth bow?  My 9 year old has quickly outgrown his PSI Nova Jr.  He has a 24 inch draw length and I am looking for a reasonable cost compound bow for him to practice shooting with me.

Browning Micro Adrenaline

My nephew has one, and we only heard good things about them when I worked for Bass Pro Shop.

Check them out on either Cabelas or Bass Pro. They leave lots of room to grow.

Golden Eagle had one called a Sparrow Hawk, a few years ago.  It was an excellent bow with a wide drawlength range of like 4".

(Mathews) The genesis doesnt have a set draw...I think that might be your best option...PSE also makes some bows that you might want to look at....(as u probally know) Good luck with your decision :D

Check out the Browning Micro Midas III, It's adjustable from 18-28" draw and I belive 20-30# or 30-40# draw weight all without a bow press.
The bow also has 70% let off.

pearson has two nice bows for kids and ladies both are a twin cam which i think works best for the kiddo's and they can move up to hunt much quicker and the timing issues are gone form the older twin cam bows.
the two i am speakjing of are the pathfinder and the new sidewinder the pathfinder goes from 18 to 29 and the sidewinder goes from 19 to 29draw weights from 20 to 60 lbs so the bow can grow with the youngun. they come with top of line string and cables from vapor trail so that area is well taken care ofthe pf is 30 1/4 axle length and the sidewinder is 30.5" axle length and the brace heightspf6 3/4 and the sw is 6 1/4. thje cams are called pathfinder cams for both bows. the pf has a retail form factory of 295. and the sw is 315 suggested retail price so they are very nice bow for a great price and will grow up with the son or daughter
