Sig for hunting?

You don't say hunting what but I will assume deer. Afraid a Sig is not the best choice for this even though they are great for their intended purpose. A 40 or 45 will kill a deer but does not have the recommended energy (1000 lbs ft or close to it). Better go with 44 mag, 480 Ruger, 454 casul revolvers or one of the Thompson Center type hand cannons. You don't want a wounded animal to get away to die later. You might could squeek by with a 10mm if you like semi autos.

I have a Sig P226 357 Sig for home defense.  Just curious.  What could I use it on, groundhogs?  I wish I had the money to buy more handguns, but this one will have to do.

Anyway, if anybody has info. on 357 Sig and loads for hunting certain game, please share it.  Thank-you in advance.

For those who have used a 357 Sig hunting:

1)What factory ammo have hunters used that they were satisfied?

2)What game was it used on?

3)At what distances was the shot successful?
