Last Thursday I loaded some 180 Nosler Partitions for my 06. Had been shooting 125s and had the scope adjusted for the hotter loads. Shot three rounds, grabbed the target and headed home since it was around zero Thrusday evening. After getting home, measured the distances from center, and made adjustments to the scope. Today my partner and I went to the range. Right off the batt, he ran the target out to 335 yards. I usually work my way out to that range slower, like doing 200 yards first. Norm came back and said "You shoot the top one I'll shoot the bottom one". OK. I sat down and fired two shots, so did he. We were shooting at 8" pistol targets stapled to a plywood backstop. When he fired I could see snow fly off to the side. I could not see anything when I fired. We walked down to the target, Norm was gloating as we neared the target. He said "I hit, you missed". There was two holes in the bottom target about 2" apart. I pulled a 30-06 round out of my pocket, and pointed out that the two holes were .30 cal, not big enough for his .378 Weatherby. That ment my Handi was shooting 8" low at 335 yards. I'm happy, good enough for me. I don't plan on shooting a Moose beyond 150 yards anyway. Maid me feel good. I stopped shooting the 06 and went to a .223. Norm (The Hard Head) shot that whole box of shells, without moving the target. Only the last five got onto the paper.
