When stripped receivers are going for $295, how can you go wrong on a whole rifle for $315? :grin:
I assume you are looking at the Greek rack grade for $295 plus shipping, no?
I've been playing with a Greek Rack grade and a Dane Rack grade ($350) for several months now. Actually belong to another member of the family. They both had similar quality barrels and had a lot of wear but they both shot ok. The greek stock had shrunken so much that we had to install gaskets to keep it firmly attached to the stock :eek:
My local gunsmithing school will rebarrel and parkerize an M1 for $225. A new stock from Boyds at $65 and your brand new!! Total= about $600 to $620. How can you go wrong? M1's in anywhere from reconditioned to rack grade were pricing at 950 to 1450 at the local gun show last saturday.
The Dane took an elk a few weeks ago :grin:
