Need help from 870 Factory Synth stock owners.
« on: November 08, 2004, 02:22:32 PM »
Ok, folks I could really use your help.  Would the owner of a Remington 870 factory synthetic stock please give me the screw hole spacing from the outside of the stock to the center of the hole for both holes?  I have a Speed Feed stock I bought a couple years ago that I want to put a Sims Limbsaver pad on.  They make a pad that fits factory stocks, and if the hole spacing is right im gonna try sticking one on the Speed Feed.  If not Ill wind up spending the money for some factory camo stocks, but thats an expense Id rather wait on right now.  So if you can help Id be much appreciated.
Brian M.
P.S. I already contacted Speed Feed months ago and got no response so they were zero help to me   .

First, thank you for your help.
Yes, what I need to know is what the measurement is from the top, outside of the stock to the pad screw hole, and then the bottom outside to the bottom pad screw hole.  I measured mine at 5/8 for the top and 1" for the bottom, so already it does not look good for me.  I guess Ill just have to wait to get some factory stocks and install the pad to those.
Again, thank you for your time and assistance.
