I tried some Magnus Stinger 125 grain broadheads this year for the first time. I figured that they would be ideal for an upcoming moose hunt.
Never got a moose but the cut-on-impact broadheads really impressed me.
I shoot a BowTech Pro 40 at 70 pounds for 280+ fps and Easton Axis carbons. I figured that they would plane too bad for that speed. Well they did not and were almost as accurate if not better than my target points out to 40 yards.
Somewhere, probably my fault in practice shooting, I had 2 heads that just would not fly straight no matter what I did. So I returned them to Magnus as they are guaranteed for life.
Well today Magnus returned to me not two, but three brand new heads from their new production, an improved head according to the enclosed letter and a real nice Magnus sticker for the truck. Pretty good these days that a company stands behind their products.
I am so happy that I am going to take all three with me to New York on Saturday and try them out on the local deer population.
