BFR .50 AE and the .500 S&W
« on: November 10, 2004, 06:18:25 AM »
While looking through the latest ( i think) issue of "on target" i seen the  Magnum research BFR .50 AE. It looks like the cartridge would be a great hunting load. Does anyone know of anyone who would rechamber/re rifle a handi to shoot this cartridge? and opinions on this cartridge?  also what do you guys think of the .500 S&W? seems like it would be a great cartridge too.  i think they are bringing a handi out in .500 are they not?
any input is appricated

They are chambering the Handi for .500 S&W. What a monster.  :-D
I would go that route before I'd go with the .50 AE. Hope you like recoil.

Is NEF making a barrel for the handi chambered in 500 S&W? or is it some other independent company?
