Make sure you call F&G before leaving. At the rate they are being taken they may close the season early. Do you have somewhere to stay? It's awful cold camping out. Don Keels runs a Gold Mine at Gold King creek. Don puts hunters up in his bunk house, but I don't know what his fee is. To find his place, turn South at Gold King creek. You can't miss the creek, it's been all torn up from mining, and there is an excavator sitting on the north side of the trail. Don's place is about 1-1/2 miles from the trail. Lots of old equipment lying around, big sheds, and a new log house. I may be out there at the same time, I'm looking for wolves, cayotes, any preditor with fur. I've also got to cut some fire wood for the cabin. Stop at the cabin, south side of the trail, about 200 yards before the second river (actually Tatlinka Creek). It's 27 miles from the highway to the cabin. The owner of the cabin will be there at that time also. My name is Rog Hunter, his name is Mike Pearson. Good luck hope you get a Moose.
