Indiana Firearms opener tomorrow!!!
« on: November 12, 2004, 02:09:01 PM »
Well, everythings ready, weather will be great, rifle is sighted in dead center @ 60 yards and holding 1" or less groups, and the first shot from a cold clean barrel is right in there with the rest of the group! A major plus in my book and an even rarer occurance in my black powder experience. Now if the deer will just cooperate!
Im shooting a .50 cal. T/C Hawken using the Shoultz system. Anyone else have one that will put the first ball out of a clean barrel in the group? Just curious as I have never experienced this before. This is a spare Hawken I bought last year for a song and just worked up a load for it recently. Good luck to any and all who will be in the woods at first light, and have a safe hunt.

I'm shooting a T/C .50cal Hawken, Lyman Maxi ball,100 grains of Pyrodex powder. All of my shots go in the same place. I do use a patch loaded with Bore Butter after each shot? I'm not familiar with the Shoultz system, please enlighten me?
