Saskatchewan moose ??

I will be in the Jan Lake area, west of Flin Flon, this coming fall and I am wondering about the possibility of hunting moose. Any info?  It appears that bear are the primary game but im more interested in moose. I dont even know if they are hunted in the area so any help would be appreciated.

There is an outfitter at Jan Lake; Jan Lake Lodge.  They operate out of Saskatoon.  Look them up on Canada411.ca and give them a call.  I am sure they will answer that question for you.  Another good idea would be to check out the SERM website and find out if there is a moose season for that zone.  They should have zone maps, season dates and all other info.  When I was living in Saskatchewan, word was you had a far better chance of a successful hunt if you were drawn in the draw.  The zones where licences are available over the counter are pretty slim pickin's.  SERM stands for Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management.  Let us know how you fare.
