Need barrel lug
« on: November 13, 2004, 05:54:26 AM »
I have a project in mind in which I will need the lug off of a Handi barrel.  I would need the whole barrel either a rifle or shotgun barrel.  Condition of the barrel in unimportant, don't even care if it is bent, as long as the lug in OK.  I am going to try to build a 6mmBR Handi,.....well me and my gunsmith of course. :-)   I want to use a higher grade barrel than the NEF barrel.  Anyone want to supply me with one, for a reasonable price of course.  If I find the lug and go ahead with the project I will post the progress and results here.

Edit:  You can PM me or email if you want.

OK guys, here is you chance to help out another Handiholic. Who has an old beatup, all the blue gone, bent and dented shotgun barrel for cheap-cheap for Donaldo to start his winter project with, why he may even name it after you!!,  old faithful, old gassey, ole one shot Mike, whatever. There must be an old shotgun barrel out there that is not good enough to sell but needs a home. Why I'm sure that if you asked nice he would return the barrel part,(less what ever he needed in addition to the lug) to you if you asked nice for an extra jack handle or piece of water pipe!!!...<><....

I know a guy who actually has the blue print plans for the barrel lugs.  I will call him down in Utah and see if I can post his e-mail address for you.  His plans work real well, cuz he had a Badger Barrel made for a Handi-Rifle sometime ago.  I have the plans on a CD but my CD-Rohm is out on my puter so I can't read it.

Good things happen here... I called him and he is e-mailing me out the plans for the lugs.  Rummor has it    that he just may have a few lugs on hand.

I know enquiring minds want to know

I want a couple of lugs myself as I want Badger to make me two barrels for a .223 and 22-250 with a 1in7 twist  8)

I tried twice to email you, not sure they went thru.  It said "invalid session" so don't know.  Let me know here if you got my email address.

Donaldo, thats more than even I in my infinite optimism could imagine!!! Good things happen to good people I guess  .   Don't let this opportunity pass you by....<><....

Hey Montanan, when you find out how much the lugs are please drop me a line, I would still love to have a .35 Remington or, be still my heart, a Handi in .348 Winchester!!!

Send me a PM with your e-mail address in it, I will then send you the plans for the barrel lug.

Montanan,
Got it and thanks.  Have not had a chance to study it yet but being an old arch. draftsman think I can figure it out.   Are there any lugs available?  Those already made up?
