questionable info on other sites

:-D , I was checking the Marlin owners site and a poster there (6pt-sika?) is telling posters there that Handi's have weaker actions than other guns and the only loads you can shoot safely out of a 45-70 Handi are those loaded for Trapdoor rifles. This incorrect info in itself does not bother me since no will get hurt shooting lowered powered loads from his Handi, but I feel sorry for those that don't know of this site and don't know the truth about Handi rifles. Why he would make such a statement with such authority is beyond me, he does not seem to like H&R's much....<><.... :(

MSP
I think sometimes it is out of sincere ignorance.  What that means is the old receivers that were chambered for the 45-70 and some for the centerfire rounds like 243 etc, were not up to the standards of todays receivers.

Maybe they haven't learned of the strength of the newer receivers.

Kinda like Pricilla and Aquilla in the book of Acts.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
