I'm looking into buying a new winchester model 94AE Legacy in 357 mag, but i don't really know the going price for a used one or a new one for that matter. The one i am looking at is in perfect condition, I would say about 99%. The wood is magnificent, there is no scratchs on the would what so ever and the blueing is emaculent. There is no places where the blueing is wearing off (and i would hope there wouldn't be considering it's only a year old). The action is still tight; you can look at and tell that it hasn't been shot much. The guy that has it is a very close friend and he said he has only shot one box of shells through it.

So i guess the point i'm trying to get to is how much should a give for it?

A "very close friend" wouldn't screw you. Would he?
Ask what he gave for it.

I don't know what the newer ones go for but I found a 1954 .30-.30 in near perfect condition and felt good about getting it for $500.

Varmiter: The last retail $423 + $14 fir the 24in barrel 100% in book is $323 but I wouldnt take that for mine, offer your friend somewhere between the 2 figures and both should be content.
