Sightron SII 1.5-6 on a .338 Win
« on: November 16, 2004, 05:32:18 AM »
Does anyone have any opinions on the Sightron 1.5-6x42 SII scope. Been thinking about buying one to put on a SAKO M995 in .338 Win. I want the very low power capability because the last time I had an elk in the crosshairs, all I could see was hair and that was at 3x. I passed on the shot because I didn't want a wounded animal. I have to rule out some of the more costly scopes because of budget.

You could get a Leupold VX-II 2-7x33mm for about the same price.  Been very good on my .375 H&H.
